Medexs and Avidicare celebrate 100 Opragon Installations in Dutch Operating Rooms

The 100th Opragon ventilation system in the Netherlands was recently installed at Noordwest Hospital (NWZ) in Alkmaar. This milestone marks a significant moment in the long-term partnership between Medexs and the Swedish company Avidicare. With the Opragon system, both parties are once again setting the standard for ultra-clean, energy-efficient, and future-proof operating rooms.

Safety, sustainability, and comfort converge
NWZ’s new OR complex features seven advanced operating rooms, including a hybrid OR. To achieve the highest OR classification (class 1+) even within a hybrid OR environment, the hybrid OR is equipped with the Opragon 21 system. The other rooms are equipped with the Opragon 8 system. All operating rooms are equipped with the latest technology for air quality and infection prevention.

Collaboration as a success factor
Medexs has been Avidicare’s exclusive partner in the Netherlands for many years and is responsible for the design and implementation of operating rooms with Opragon technology.
