Medexs constructed a temporary Central Sterilization Department (CSD) for Isala using modular construction, which will be used for at least one year during the renovation of the in-house CSD.
ZwolleMedexs constructed a temporary modular CSSD for Isala. At the end of October 2025, the 35 modules were installed on site in just 3 days. This 630m² modular building is therefore the largest temporary CSSD in Europe. The Medexs CSSD was completed in March 2026 and will subsequently operate for at least fourteen months. The space accommodates four autoclaves, five washing machines, one cart washing machine, and a low-temperature sterilizer.
