LeidenCommissioned by the LUMC in Leiden, Medexs realized the renovation and expansion of the IGFL cleanroom facility, for which Medexs was responsible for both the design and the full execution. From structural work and finishing to mechanical and electrical installations and furniture: everything was handled integrally.
After the renovation and expansion, the GMP facility consists of seven Class B preparation rooms. These are equipped with safety workbenches and connected via various airlocks. In addition, the facility features supporting spaces, such as a cryo room and a warehouse containing, among other things, a cold/freezer cell and rolling filing cabinets.
A special feature is one of the laboratories, which has been set up as a high-security research facility with a BA3 classification.
